from now on you will recieve a weekly mailing by mail or e-mail. It will inform you about the actual schedule, interesting themes about our event.

 

1.         Participiants

 

Five teams from Finnland are registratedin the world-cup. These are:

 

Eero Kiski from Helsinki, finnish champion in 1997 with the Hai „ Esperanza“, this Hai was twice finnish champion

 

Turkka Hovila from Helsinki with the Hai „ Hui Hai II“

 

Hannu Jauhiainen from Heinola with the Hai „Annsofie“

 

Markus Maksimainen from Turku, fnnish champion in 1996 with the Hai „ZIC ZAC“, this Hai was four times finnish champion

 

Roni Saksi from Eespo second place in finnish championship in 1998 with the Hai

„ Hermanns“

 

Three teams from France are registrated

 

Philippe Boisnard, president of the french associtaion from Paris with the Requin

„La Bellone“, 5^th in 1999 french championships

 

Yves Brangoleau from Paris and the „caricaturist“ with the Requin „Fivan“

 

Patrick Prud‘ Homme from Villers Sur Le Rolle, 3^rd in 1999 french championships, with the Requin Antinea

 

 

Five teams from Germany are registrated

 

Michael Genz from Hamburg 1^st in different through the last years club regattas on the river "Elbe“ with the Hai „Moskito“

 

Heinz Hellermann from Berlin with the Requin „Castor“

 

Sönke Lakaschus from Flensburg third in his boat class in 1999 with the Hai „Ran“ in the „Interbational Regatta for wooden boats“

 

Christine Herr from Hamburg with the Hai „Shark Attack“

 

Michael Möller-Herr from Hamburg with the Hai „ O’HAI“, the last in 1998 finnish championship but now with ne regatta sails and new team, so beware of this hai...

 

Still we would like to have  some more Hai und Requin, from France , Finnland, USA, Estonia and Germany.

 

 

2.        Location

 

The regatta will be held as it was announced in the Kiel-Bay. We will sail according to the wind and the wave conditions in- ore offshore.

 

3.         Accomodation

 

We changed the hotel. It will be Seeterrassen. The hotel has a sauna, and a assembling room, where we can make our evening parties. Adress and phone number see below. Those who applied for a room and made payment the rooms are booked.

 

4.        Regatta Centre

 

This will be at a place direct at the coast, called „Rosegarden“. From there we can watch the sunset, like in california....

We expect to have our regatta centre there.

 

5.         Crane

 

From Sunday afternoon on you can lift your boats into the water. This will be at Laboe. Responsible for that is crane is the harbourmaster. Our place in the laboe harbour will be close to the crane area, you can paddle your hai/requin to that quay place. We will be there also from sunday afternoon.

 

 

6.        Special

 

For those who are able to start earlier. You can participate at the hamburg summer classic, which starts at friday evening at the lake alster in hamburg. There are three races. Two on saturday, one on sunday. Party is at friday evening. Chrsitine and I stay there with our hai.

 

7.         How to be dressed

 

During the regatta week and at night time casual. It can be sometimes cold and sometimes warm. Water temperature is about 19 degrees celsius. For the Dinner on thursday you are well dressed if you have a jacket and a tie, so it is formal.

9.        Evening programm

 

We think it will be a fine way to get known to each other, if every nation feels responsible for one evening. So the finns should organize the evening on monday, the french the tuesdays evening, we will organize the wendsdays evening.

 

10.      Connections

 

We try to organize to publish the actual results and days picture through our web site, so that your friends in finnland and france can follow the world-cup day by day.

 

11.       Public Relations and Photography

 

At the moment we expect a film tea, which will document the cup and may be  also accopanie the finnish and the french national championships. Also we do have a professional photographer from the german sailing magazine „ YACHT“, „Kai Greiser“ .He will accompanie us through our regatta. Also we expect a article in „YACHT“ 17/2000 about our boat class especially to our event.

 

12.Arrival

 

Arrival on sunday we expect you first at the crane of the harbourmaster mr. Fuchs. You can reach us through our mobile phone. At sunday evening you will get your regatta documents.
